Delhi on a sunny sunday

Hi again
Mr Blender's here

More touristy bits to add as you have to do it and brave the ever so peaceful drive on a sunny sunday morning in Delhi.
Sudeep, picked us up at 10 and off we go for a sunny days culture

First stop Qutb complex, south Delhi
Qutb Minar started in 1192, its 72.5 metres high minar in the complex of Tombs, temples and other stuff, bla , bla , bla
But you have to come out to see it when its finished

Instead thought you blokes might like to see a couple of Birds we met

and bum, now who's that slimmer person

and someone telling his driver , are we there yet?

More culture on the next post.

27th Nov and a little bit of a catch up

Mr Pimms here
Still on big sis visit , but then there is a lot of piccies to upload

Took a trip to Agra, taxi there and back takes 3 and a half hours each way and I was sure we were going to die on the trip back in the dark , seen everything possible that anyone can think of called transport, feet, bicycles, cows, bull, camels , elephants, carts, cycle rickshaw, mopeds, motor rickshaw, buses, lorries, taxis, cars , trains, but surprisingly no planes, not bad considering there is no side of the raod that people drive on in the dark windey trip back!!!!
Surprising though only saw two trucks and one trashed car , must be the expert driving techniques , would beat the Go-Karters iI know, so you will have to keep practicing Denis before you are out here.
Next time we will book the train.

Ahh back to Agra, now what's there for all you students and culture vultures

The Taj, nice, no really nice and not too busy

Then off to the Red Fort to search out more Mohguls , only found these , anyone missing from the UK as they had no passports?

Got a good guide to show us both places for 100 spondoolies ( naughtical saying for all you philastines out there) Very grand and lots of inlaid marble in the palaces.
The scale these people built is impressive, worth the trip.
Shah Jahan built these for his ladies. He also used to play something like backgammon using the ladies a pieces , always a whole one though.

Lunch of cottage cheese curry and nan , yum yum I can just feel the lbs falling away. I hope

Namaste

Next our Delhi itvar ya ravivar out with Sadeep to show us the way.
