Blogging update

Hi its Mr B again for the update on India's 60th

Was nice to see all the kids putting on a show at the complex to celebrate the start of their countries 60th year of independence.

We all celebrated the day before with veggie food for lunch and a best T shirt day at work, a couple of prizes given out by the HR department to people from the office, yep you are being blogged people!

There was even another gorra, who didn't make it to being first in line on the free food.
I didn't get there first for a change this time!
A least it meant no breakfast bar and bananas for lunch today
I wonder how heavy I am now?

Ah , the Police story
Can you guess why I had to visit the police Station on Sunday by these two piccies?

Of course you can, can't you?
Well its so obvious that I would get the car towed from outside the railway station where they was no notices about parking , everyone knows that, don't they?
I think India might have a way to go yet?

The picture with the parking sign above it cost me 10rps, car was parked by the attendant and only 500 metres away from the other picture.
We were visiting an excellent market but we all got very moist due to the heat and humidity

The picture without any parking signs cost me 830rps
600rps for the challan
200rps for the tow
30rps for the rickshaw ride
And its not claimable on expenses!

All I can say is that it was a good job the driver was there, or I would of been a bit lost as to where the car was and how to retrieve it?
As I have not mastered Hindi and the Police not mastered English it was very funny showing them my international driving licence to record on the form for the challan ( fine)
But heh dad the police know all about you now, address, age, what you had for tea and inside leg measurment. Just avoid the taylors when you visit Indian forms are very strange but you do have it in Hindi and English
Needless to say they took the money
Never mind as its all part of the adventure and "asda price or cheap as chips" as they say in Goa

Last, a little bit of meanwhile
I think this was the french embassy before they moved to more palacial rooms in the Embassy Enclave

feel free to enlarge the piccie by clicking on it , its worth it but e-mail/speak to Denis C first for the excellent french accent as he has used it in the past in Seattle. Another "lifes like that" tale to tell

Namaste
